My Zine
My zine is about flowers I used different landscapes to represent the flower and used different. I didn’t focus on the flowers in my zine I put more emphasis on the people. I used some water color for texture on some flowers. I was testing out textures with paint and ink and saw some of the best textures are used in environments and plants. I wanted to try different poses with the people which didn’t turn out that well. The thing I did the best was texture and the the thing I did the worst was coloring.
For my geofilter location I chose Salem, Massachusetts. I chose Salem because of its witch history and it being close to halloween. This is the first time I used computer editing in art so I learned adobe illustrator. I know a few traditions modern witches do like tarot card, runes, and healing crystals. I liked how my objects turned out but I didn’t like my color palette that much.
For my pet illustartion I chose this picure of my dog to show deph in the shadows. I liked the way I did the face giving it a unique style. I messed up the bottom a little bit and I didn't put a lot of shading when I should have.
For my drypoint etching project, I chose this picture because of the detail and angle. I also like drawing shoes so I chose it. I like the way the shading turned out with the hatching. I accidentally filled in too hard in some spaces making it look out of place.
For my poster, I chose the rapper Rico Nasty. I chose her because in the underground rap community there is barely any good female icons. Her colors are very bright and pop art so I wanted to give a surreal vibe. I liked my color choices but I didn't like how bland my flyer was.
For my t-shirt design, I chose an edgy design to stray from my normal style. I didn't like how some of the ink went out of the lines but I liked how it lined up.
